NAPEP ACTION PLAN 2013-2015


Key Activities:


1.

To influence and contribute to the commissioning, development and organisation of educational psychology services.

2.

To influence and contribute to the development of initial EP training and continuing professional development programmes for qualified EPs.

3.

To maintain links between regional groups of PEPs and NAPEP through, for example, executive committee meetings and through our email list NAPEP-L.

4.

To maintain NAPEP-L and the website www.napep.org in order to facilitate the collection and sharing of information and bring together a variety of perspectives on a range of initiatives, issues and concerns.

5.

To liaise with relevant national organisations and agencies (including: Association of Directors of Children’s Services,  Association of Educational Psychologists, British Psychological Society Division of Child and Educational Psychology, National College for Teaching & Leadership, Department for Education) in order to influence policy development and implementation.

6.

To organise an annual NAPEP conference on topics of interest and relevance to provide further opportunities for their continuing professional development and to generate the income necessary for the organisation to function.

7.

To raise the profile of NAPEP and of our profession by influencing and commenting upon relevant education and social policy initiatives.

8.

Effectiveness - to refresh the roles and responsibilities held within NAPEP Executive Committee. and to ensure that the meetings work as well as possible for all members.
